Eating Contests

There will be two separate eating contests: The Mid Island Animal Hospital a Hot Dog Eating Contest and the Farm Ridge Kosher Pickle Eating Contest.

Rules for the Farm Ridge Pickle Eating Contest: This is a speed eating contest. The first adult to completely finish and swallow two pickles will be declared the winner. The first child to finish one pickle will be declared the winner.

Rules for the Mid Island Animal Hospital Hot Dog Eating Contest: This is a speed eating contest. The first adult to completely finish and swallow three hot dogs and their buns will be declared the winner. The first child to finish one hot dog and its bun will be declared the winner. Each contestant will have a glass of soda or water to use to assist them if necessary.

Judges will be at each event and the ruling of the head judge at each event is final.

Both events will award trophies and prizes in the following age groups:
Youth (up to 13 years old)
Adults

Men and women will compete together in the same age categories.

Registration for both events will be open on the day of the event at 11:30 a.m.
Registration for The Kosher Pickle Eating Contest will end at 1:00 p.m.
Registration for The Hot Dog Eating Contest will end at 2:00 p.m.

The Kosher Pickle Eating Contest begins at 1:30 p.m.

The Kosher Hot Dog Eating Contest begins at 2:00 p.m.

While the Kosher Pickle Eating Contest is free to all participants, there will be a registration fee in order to participate in the Hot Dog Eating Contest: a $5.00 fee for children and a $10.00 fee for adults.
